2. Personal data

Personal data means any information allowing your identification or authentication as a natural person. Typically, this will imply your name and address. Generally, however, you can always visit our website without disclosing any of your personal data to us.

The collection and use of your personal data when using our website is kept to a minimum and will not exceed the requirements of the service-related purpose it is collected and used for. By filling out the various input fields on the website you automatically authorize us to register, process and use your personal data. The data and information provided to us is transferred exclusively to our customer service employees or, else, shared with selected third parties assisting us in the performance of the services provided to you. Any disclosure of personal data to other third parties is strictly excluded. We will never sell or rent your data to any third parties.

At your specific request for cancellation, we will delete any personal data collected or processed in connection with the services provided to you unless required by law to store such personal data, as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose is was collected or processed or if it is discovered that the data has been unlawfully processed.

Where our website collects personal data:

2.1 Online shop

Both, the registration and use of a customer account as well as guest ordering in our online shop require entering personal data. Customer data is exclusively collected, processed, stored and used to process orders. In addition, such data may be transmitted to third party enterprises for order handling purposes (e.g. logistics provider).

2.2 Newsletter

By giving your consent you can subscribe to our newsletter.

2.3 Contact form

Using our contact form requires entering your title, first and last name, e-mail address as well as to send a message. The collected data, however, will be merely stored for communication purposes and transmitted to our customer service as unencrypted e-mail.

2.4 Use of blog feature

Our blog, where we post information on our products, gives you the chance to leave public comments. Any comment left by you will show your user name. We therefore recommend using an alias instead of your real name. Required will be your user name and e-mail address while all other information is optional. After each comment, your IP address will be stored, but is then erased by us within a week. This storage is required for us in order to defend ourselves against liability claims in the event of publications of illegal content. We need your e-mail address so we are able to contact you in case any third party should object to your comments as unlawful, the legal basis being Art. 6 para 1 sentence 1 lit. b and f GDPR. Comments will not be reviewed prior to publication. We reserve the right to delete comments if objected by third parties as unlawful.

3. Cookies

When visiting our website you are not required to enable cookies. We point out, however, that deleting or blocking cookies may prevent parts of our website from working correctly.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by your browser and contain specific settings and other data required for the exchange with our website. There are two different types of cookies:
Session cookies are active for as long as you visit a page of our website until the end of that particular browser session. Persistent or temporary cookies will remain active on your computer for a longer period of time or until you erase them from your device.

We use cookies in the following section of our website:

  • Customer account
  • Ordering process
  • Language preference

You can prevent cookies from being installed by altering the settings in your browser software. For further details please refer to your browser manual.

4. Website statistics

4.1 Weblog data

The access data of each access made by a browser to the contents of our website is automatically recorded in a log file on our provider's server.
Each data set consists of the following:

  • IP address of your computer;
  • Port number of your browser used for the session on this website;
  • Address of the last page visited by you, from where you followed a link to the current page (referrer URL);
  • Specification of the browser software (name, number of version, language preference, operating system type);
  • List of file types supported by the browser;
  • In addition, the browser can also provide information on the character set identified;
  • The exact timestamp of when the site was accessed.

The stored access data is exclusively used to compile statistics. This allows us to gauge and analyze the effectiveness of our site and improve our online content. We will not be able to identify you from this data. The data is treated with confidentiality and neither disclosed to any third parties nor merged with other data sources.

4.2 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If the IP anonymization feature is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google. You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

We have activated the Google Analytics IP anonymization feature on this website. We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing as well as your option to install the browser add-on in order to deactivate Google Analytics and, thus, fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

For more information about how Google Analytics handles user data, see Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en (general information regarding Google Analytics and data protection).).

5. Facebook, Twitter and Social Media plug-ins

Instead of social media plugins we only use links to the corresponding share pages of the social media providers. At no time is data exchanged with the providers or saved.

6. Right to information

At all times and upon request, you are entitled to be provided with information about your personal data stored free of charge, its origin and recipients as well as the purposes of storing. You may also revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data at any time. In addition, you have the right to request to have your stored data altered, blocked or removed. In this case, please contact the person responsible indicated above.

Should you have any queries or requests ...

Your trust in us is our key priority. We are therefore available to answer any question you may have regarding the processing of your personal data. Apart from that, we are always interested in further suggestions on data protection. For any questions not answered in this Data Privacy Statement or any more detailed information on one of the issues explained, please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact form or the address indicated.
