Hand-crafted – because quality accepts no compromises

Sewing machine produces a strap.

Our camera straps are produced in a small factory near Nuremberg. Pure artisanal manufacturing involves the highest quality standards, with every single stage of production carefully carried out by hand.

Before cutting, we use templates to transfer the strap contours to the elk-skin leather. A wide range of sizes and shapes are possible here. Natural rubber padding is placed between the cut out pieces and attached with solvent-free adhesive, then the leather is pressed together. The elk-skin itself, the cowhide leather ends and the webbing are quintuple-stitched with a sturdy, special thread. Only after the finished elk-skin strap has gone through a final quality control inspection and been embossed with the logo does it become an original EDDYCAM.
